After spending their summers in Florida’s Ponte Vedra beach, a former Atlanta-based couple decided to set sail and relocate to this coastal town full-time. Built in the 1970s with a dated look and feel to match, it was clear to the couple that their newly purchased, 2,000 square foot condominium needed a total makeover. So, the homeowners called local designer, Amanda Webster of Amanda Webster Designs to help them achieve just the right kind of coastal aesthetic that would truly embody the feeling of an oceanfront getaway.
We’re kicking the year off right at Vetrazzo with a collaboration with one of our all time favorite brands, Oceanside Glass & Tile, makers of colorful and creative recycled glass tiles. Like us the tile makers use recycled materials and artisanal craftsmanship to create new and beautiful design materials. We also share another thing in common - a deep love of color, especially bright aquas and deep blues inspired by the sea.
Lita and Lonney Mills knew that when they could finally upgrade their kitchen they'd fill it with the tones and sparkle of the Pacific Ocean.
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on Jupiter Island, FL, is a contemporary residence that is both polished and sophisticated. Designed by architect Mitchell O’Neil and interior designer H. Allen Holmes for an adventurous Annapolis, MD couple, this resort-inspired custom home is the ultimate seaside experience.
It's here! Our favorite time of year when we can look back on a year's worth of stunning kitchen and bath designs featuring recycled glass surfaces. From the beach to the city, talented designers are using crushed glass counters and mosaic tiles to create interiors with historic charm, coastal vibes and modern moods. (An amazing amount of style variety in this year's designs.)
No one can dispute the effect a seaside escape has on the soul. Blue water and white sand are a salve for just about all that ails us. But why stop at a two week beachside escape?
Shouldn't our interiors reflect that same calm, cooling, and even energizing vibe of the sand and sea? (I mean wouldn't you love a coastal escape every time you stepped into the kitchen?)
